Whole Foods Farmers Market

I am so happy to be part of the Whole Foods, Garden City, Farmer's Market. The response to my handmade cards (now about 40 different cards, along with the framed 5x7's, and matted work) has been wonderful. I so enjoy speaking about my work with the people who 'drop by' my tent, answering any questions they might pose.

We set up our goods, from homemade breads and cookies, to the one and only Schartner Farms,
Buttonwoods Bathworks, (I bought their Lavender Linen Spray, and it is one of the nicest things I could have done for myself...sleeping like a baby people!!) . It is still growing, organically, (no pesticides...LOL), so, if you are in the neighborhood, please do stop by from 3-7PM on Tuesdays.

'Dennis McCarten's Shop'

I saw Dennis McCarten's violin shop at the indoor farmers market last year and I knew I had to take some photos. My initial thought was that if I got the right shot, it would make a fabulous card, or framed 5x7. Dennis McCarten not only makes violins, but repairs them as well. They hang beautifully, different woods and grains, different sizes, each one with it's own story.

The Sweet Honeysuckle

It happens every spring. I catch of whiff and I know I have just been blessed. The life of the fragrant honeysuckle lasts but only a short time. I wish that I could bottle the sweet aroma of the honeysuckle and keep it close by. Some of the flowers produce an edible nectar.

There is a wild vine which grows by the Stillhouse Cove. I plan to bring some cut vines home, root them, and grow them in my yard.
This, my friends, is a slice of heaven.
