Swans

Stillhouse Cove in Pawtuxet Village (one of the oldest towns in Rhode Island), is where the fresh water of the Pawtuxet River meets the salt water of the bay leading to the ocean. We see the swans every year from Spring to late Fall. We sometimes see hundreds of them in the Cove. I refer to it as the annual swan convention. Their signets, line up behind them paddling away! No little ones in sight yet, but, any minute now! These two gave me quite a show yesterday! Aren't they just gorgeous??

Although I couldn't begin to pronounce Pawtuxet, the swans are absolutely lovely and I do hope you'll post photos of the little ones when you see them. Thanks! ~Sharon

Mamamoon, Pawtuxet is easy compared to some of the other names, many American Indian, beautiful names that are very hard to pronounce!!! I look forward to seeing the signets...oh, they grow so fast!!!
