With a background in Fine Arts, my eye is well trained to notice the smallest of details. Photography is a passion. With the advent of the digital age, I use that same trained eye through the monitor of my digital camera, from macro shots to sweeping landscapes while enjoying the full range of editing.

that's an incredible shot Amy....
it actually looks like it's posing for the camera...
aren't their wings beautiful....
I haven't seen a dragonfly in years... in fact the last time would have been at my Mum's ...around her pool at night...
have a happy Sundy happy "Lilley" :)
and a happy Sunday too :)
Great shot. Very cool.
What an amazing photo...we have many dragonflys in this area but I always stop for a moment to watch them ...
Cheers
Hey Kim...yes it really does look like it's posing....leaning on one 'leg'...hanging out, relaxed...
Nice to see you over here Henson...glad that you like the pic!
Azure, apparently my conversation w/ this one paid off by sticking around long enough to get this one good pic!!!
I LOVE this photograph! And I enjoyed reading what you wrote too.
very nice wing detail! i love dragonflies, too, and like capturing them with camera. and yes, the do seem to stay still and POSE for the camera quite often. i hadn't noticed the smile before, though. i see it on yours! ;-)
Amy-
this photo is incredible! You sure had your camera at the right time. The detail is amazing!
Cheers,
Deb

Hey Viqi...the smile was a gift..no question!

Perfect! It's colors are just incredible. We saw a dragonfly in our yard today when we were finished building fairy houses, and you know what they say about dragonflies and fairies!
Deb, I can't wait to see what you came up w/ for the dragonflies, and Jennifer, no, sadly, I don't know what they say about dragonflies and fairies...you must tell me..lol!!!!
This is an incredible shot--a remarkable capture! I'm surprised you were able to compose it before the smiling dragonfly flitted away!
What a find. I love those big pinkish eyes!
