I would never have thought of a cow as a subject for photos but these are great...your subjects look so calm and relaxed!!!
In the close ups their hide looks very soft...
Cheers

Hey Heather!!!...I have been eying these cows all Summer. There is a 'corn stand' on the property of this farm in W. Kingston, on the way to the beach, and the cows are always out there, in the field, grazing. When we went to the beach on Sunday (heaven), I asked Todd, who was manning the stand, if I could take some shots of the cows...and, ta da!!! Each one so different...very pleased! Glad that you like!

I love cows!! and they make great subjects for photos... when i was studying photography I often used to go to the farms around here to take pictures of cows, they especially make great b & w shots... and they always put a smile on my face! :-)

Oh Muse, we literally had to park the car by the corn stand and walk quite a way to get to these beauties...so, I'm not sure if tourist season was on their minds...BUT, the white one...OH WHAT A FACE...they definitely knew I was there...no question!!

Triz, they hey DO make great subjects...like I said to Heather, I've been eying them all summer...and I did speak w/ the owner of the farm to get his address so I could send him some 5x7's...he found the whole thing kind of humurous...but, you kn ow what, it was the first time I introduced my self as a 'photographer'...YEAAAA!!

I love the cows, the expression on the last one is so cute :)

I will be in Rhode Island on my East Coast American adventure in September (I live in the UK), so I will keep my eye out for the cows :)

Love that picture that was featured on the Etsy Treasury; cows can be so funny!

Cupcake and I have company from So Cal right now, and so she has been having a ball doing things like going to the beach at Fort Worden, building fairy houses, and driving around and seeing the scenery, which includes a herd of bison not too far from us. She love cows and says one of your pictures looks like the kind her Papa wants to get (a Hereford.)

I am going to be staying in Matunuck right on the beach with a bunch of blogging buddies. I am over in the US for three weeks travelling about, but having a whole week in RI.

Thanks for compliments about my blog :)

I'm glad she is running around, seeing the sites, the bison, and how I wish I could join her in building fairy houses...sounds like such fun...what a lucky girl..HER OWN COW...now, THAT's BIG!!! Send her hugs and again, so glad that she's having such a wonderful summer w/ you and Papa in Robins Woods...
