It all about 'That Look'

Well, I've decided to stick with the felines for the moment. Some of you have seen this photo of Girl Whirl in my Etsy Shop. This photo speaks volumes about this cat. The face, the eyes, THAT LOOK. Big Kitty politely, for the most, has come to 'share space' with Girl Whirl. Even as loopy as she can be at times, when she pulls this face out of her bag, I'm lost. She and Big Kitty are so different...well, yes, she is FEMALE, and there's no question that she is wired in a different manner. She Insists on nuzzling in with me, especially during the Winter months (I learned that she was weaned too soon). I mean, she's finding a way no matter what. She cuddles when she wants, not when I want...WHAT! She grooms Big Kitty and then jumps him, and he falls for it every time...WHAT! Like I said, it's 'that look', it even works on Big Kitty!

The last time I received a look like the one the cat is giving I knew I was in big, big trouble.

What a beautiful shot! Those eyes look like they know everything you are thinking. Thanks for stopping by...and thanks for the compliment. The only problem with monsoon season is that if your are outside you end up with a lot of fine dirt and grit in your eyes and teeth...LOL

Aw, it was inevitable that you'd be a major league cat lover! Girl Whirl is very beautiful, and I totally know what you mean about 'that look'.

My precious Nomad, who sadly died last year, was one of those rare animals able to communicate perfectly articulately by persistence and facial expressions! It was remarkable.

Nomad had calici virus, and altho we fought to maintain her quality of life, she was quite frequently poorly with one thing or another. Whenever she became ill, she'd insist on getting my attention, and then somehow always got thru to me.

I always consider myself privileged to have had Nomad as a companion for 14 years. She chose to come and live with me... I encountered her (as a maturing kitten) in the street and stroked her, the next day she turned up on my doorstep! I always suspected she was a christmas kitty who had outgrown her cute 'n' fluffy stage. :-(

Hahaha... fools! I got her instead!! :-)

awww, Jack, not this girl...she's sweet, sweet, sweet!

Hi Waterrose...she's very good @ staring contests...sometimes like a mind-meld...like on StarTrek!!

Oh purrprints...the digital age does many surprising things when we get those pics up on the computer...her eyes are very green..pretty!!

Layne!!! Hello...I am so sorry about Nomad...14 years is good, and she had something so very serious...they really do have their way of communicating w/ us...there is no question whatsoever...for those of us who are cat lovers, we certainly come to know their 'language'. I had surgery a couple of years ago and Big Kitty and Girl Whirl did not leave me for 3 days straight...it was really something. So, your, Nomand, finding YOU..smart kitty cat!

Spoiled you say, Kim?...well, let's just say, that she and Big Kitty have a pretty darn good life! I love looking at her face..very close...we touch noses ever so slightly..

Lidian, don't you just LOVE it when they butt heads w/ you...you are truly members of the same family!!!

Oh, Muse, I must meet Padawan...a black kitty and a new YOUNG addition to the family...we are in NYC @ my Mom's and she has pics of Edward w/ Big Kitty when Edward was 8 and we had JUST brought the cat home...they were both SO SMALL and adorable...Edward loves the pictures and remembers well all the fun things that happened those first few months!!!

Hiya, me again!

Your mention of your kitties remaining by you 3 days straight following your surgery sums up what it's like when you have that 'special' relationship with cats (unless they were waiting to be fed lol). It seems to be something that non-cat people just don't get! Ya know?

BTW Nomad has been visiting me in my dreams just recently!
