Peaceful View

This is a view of the Providence River which leads to the bay, which leads to the the ocean. This is one lovely, peaceful stretch of landscape which I see during my daily walks by the water. There is a bench just about where I took this photo, so that people can sit and rest, read a book, meditate on the loveliness of the scenery. Right now, my Mom is in the hospital with pneumonia. She's in what they call a 'step down' unit. Not quite intensive care, but not a 'regular' room. She says that the service is pretty good...not so bad. So, her sense of humor is in tact. She is quite frail and she'll probably be there for about a week. I am 3 1/2 hours away and will most likely go be with her when she goes home. Mom has plenty of family and friends to visit her in the hospital. So, once the sun comes back out, and I'm on my daily walk by the water, I might just sit on that bench where this picture was taken and pray and meditate on the loveliness of this view, with loving thoughts of Mom.

Thank you Raquel...it's a really pretty spot...the whole walk by the water is something I never tire of...Mom is better today, but they are treating her very aggressively to try and break up the pneumonia...again, thank you

Lovely spot Amy...I love to sit by the water...it is calming and restful to me!
My home is on the shores of a beautiful lake and my studio window faces the water...the water always catches my attention regardless of what I'm doing...I'm a Pisces maybe that explains it!!!

Happy to hear your mother is improving...
Cheers

It is quite the spot, especially w/ that tree, it really frames the view...there are no others that look quite like it...it sounds BEAUTIFUL where you live and to have that view outside your studio window...what a gift...it's going to take some time for Mom to really come around, but she is receiving excellent care...thank you Heather...

Oh Kim, that's a good way to put it...no, pneumonia is not nice at all...she's got a haul in front of her, but they're treating her very aggressively...and yes, it's a very, very pretty spot...hugs to you...

good morning Muse...tonight is the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah....we always pray for good health and a blessed year...again, I thank you for blanketing us in your prayers...it means so much..especially today..

Miss Deb...I miss you...it IS a beautiful spot and I am usually 'racing' past it when I am walking...but it certainly did catch my eye that day...w/ Mom, it's just going to take some time and she will be needing alot of help when she gets home...but, for right now, she's in an excellent hospital, receiving the best care, and many, many are praying...thank you, thank you for your good thoughts...and I WILL send her your best...

That photo calmed me. Thank you.

I'll pray for your mom. She sounds like such a lovely woman. And from your other post, she looks like she's in a good place since she still has her sense of humor!
