Autumn Hydrangea

Autumn is in full swing in New England. Although, I have to say, my impatience, my overflowing impatience in my window boxes, are still hanging on. These are photos of the same hydrangea which I took during the summer. Their deep purples, blue tones and green hues make for quite an eye full. I have cut them back and have them hanging upside down on the wall right above my computer. For me, a very symbolic sign of entering into the new season!

My Mom is doing better and is in a brand new wing of the hospital for pulmonary/cardiac rehabilitation. She thinks it is so beautiful, that she may not mind staying for 2 weeks! Sense of humor, still intact!. Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers for her. I simply cannot thank you enough.

So happy to hear that Mom is doing better..and you are feeling confident in her recovery, dear friend! Please let her know we have all been keeping her in out thoughts and prayers....! :)

Love the flowers! We just took the fall pruning off of our Hydrangea...it colors up apple green and yellow...I love it...LOL at its fullness it overpowers everything in the garden...but a small price to pay for such beauty!

good morning Hillary...today is BANNER..beautiful autumn morning...I wish I could blow some of this cool, crisp air to Texas!!! Yes, she may not be a happy camper, but she can still laugh...going to NYC tomorrow to see her....glad that you like the photo!

good morning Ms. Muse...yes, she is better, but now has gout in both her feet...ouch..when I see her tomorrow, in person, I can tell her about ALL the people who have been praying for her....yup, fall pruning of the hydrangea...mine is still a relatively new outside bush, but the pruning assures that each year it will be fuller than the last...

good morning Rebecca...I love the hydrangeas as well...and they are so photogenic...the deep colors are a real gift this time of the year! Mom is better today because she had her hair washed...we can ALL relate to that!!! Thank you for your prayers..

good morning lux and babette...yes, the colors are very rich, yet subtle...from pastel blue to deep purple....LOVE IT!

Beautiful colors...oh I remember when we lived in New England and the snowball shrubs would bloom and change color.

I always brought some in to dry and keep through the winter.

Our change of season is very subtle as you can tell in my shot today.

But the winters are much easier also.

I am s pleased to hear that your mom is doing better. I hope she continues to improve....and that you have a lovely week!:-)
