Completely Off Topic...GO PHILLY!!!!

This one is for my husband. He is a staunch Philadelphia fan. Basketball, hockey, football, and yes, people baseball. We live in New England, so he has been surround by, well, you know, for the past 7 years that we have lived in Providence. He has been generous and a good sport, and has managed to hold his own, no problem. But, last night when Philadelphia WON THE WORLD SERIES, he was speechless, he was stunned. I jumped up and down like a kid in sheer delight of the moment, for HIM. So, again, this one is for my husband!

Congratulations Phillies! It's nice to see a team besides Boston or New York win the World Series.

I am always happy when a really deserving coach wins, like last year w/ the Celtics...I think that Doc Rivers is one of the best men around, so I was happy for him...my husband is a hard-wired Philly fan, so he didn't quite see it that way...but, I agree w/ you...he's been enjoying the afterglow!!

Yes, Ms. Muse...goooooo team...

Grew up in northern Delaware and watch the Phil's and Mike Schmidt/Pete Rose and the old team. I was a little torn, since I live in Tampa Bay. Either way I was going to be happy - congrats to the Phil's and to the Rays. Basically, who would of thought the teams would have played against each other with their track records.

hey ktales, it just shows us all that is simply NOT OVER until the fat lady sings...the parade in Philly yesterday looked fabulous, great weather...really happy for these guys and especially for my husband..losing would have been too devastating, given ALL that's gone on in New England these past few year w/ ALL the teams!!! Happy that it worked out for you as well!!!
