he was a very handsome fellow....
we had our Remembrance Day here yesterday too...
my great Great Grandmother lost her husband and 4 sons to the first war and she had my Grandfather brought home on compassionate grounds ...

Kim, your Great Grandmother suffered such unfathomable loss...like 'Saving Private Ryan'...too many brothers lost...and thank goodness your Grandfather was saved...my, my, my oh my...I'm just shaking my head...

Sandee, he was quite the 'looker', especially in his uniform...sadly, we lost him 20 years ago...yes, Sandee, bless them all..

When I saw Wordless Wed, Tuesday Edition, I almost said "oh,no, Tuesdays?" Then I saw Veterans Day, and then I saw your Dad, and I could only thank people like them. You saved yourself this time. :-)

Yes Mike, that was a GREAT generation of men...I look up to heaven and thank him!

Hey Z...he was quite the good looking fellow...all of his buddies were in WW II...oh how we pray for the brave men and women serving today!!!

Ly, my Dad and the wonderful men of his generation paid dearly for our freedom...he was 1 in a million, but one OF a million!

My grandfather is a veteran of WW ll
as well...he is 98...his memory is not so good anymore but I love to look at the photo of him in uniform!

My Dad passed 20 years ago Heather, so even tho your 98 year old Grandfather cannot remember WW II very well, I am glad that he is still w/ you...they were quite the generation of men...yes???
