Words for Wordless Wednesday
Joy
Hope
Peace
Dreams realised
History made
Put things right
But best of all
NO MORE BUSH!!!
Therefore
We are comforted
So
No need for
Grandma's Spaghetti
(But we'll make it anyway
'Cos we like it!)

We have elected the most capable man in America. I've been a registered republican all my life, yet I have never voted for a single one. Why? Well, about 50 years ago they stopped putting people first. Best wishes for a successful President-elect Obama, for, I hope, the next eight years

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have cried all day I am so touched and so excited and thrilled. And I don't know if you saw Maya Angelou recite her poem this morning but I wept through the whole thing. (To be honest I've been a mushbucket all day!) With children and a grandchild, I now have hope for our country!

Hugs to you Amy,

Maitri

Ms. Muse, yes, we are praying all the leaders, for unity and real grown-ups in D.C...mutual respect, a must!!! blessings to you Muse!

Oh thank you Kim...I AM over the moon as well..very, very weepy ALL DAY...there's such a change in the air, you can literally FEEL IT! Thank you also for allowing me to dream that your kitchen would be my escape route had it turned out differently. They certainly are a beautiful, beautiful family...those girls...WOW! YAY Obama!!!

Rob, I agree that the most capable man was nominated...lots of work to do, for ALL of us, but I believe he is right the man for this time in history. We do wish him all the success in the world.

MAITRI!!!!....Oh, I've been just a weeping gal all day as well!. My son is mixed race, like Obama, and when I called him in college last night, he 'got it', in a jubilant, yet sober way...HOPE, yes, our kids, and your gandkids have HOPE...big hugs to you as well!!!

On the
verge..breathless...perfect..a very emotional day for all!

Beadedtail, I feel exactly the same way you do, excited, happy to be part of the change...and oh, so proud!!!

Obama supporters got their man. A few questions:

What now is the role of the U.S. military in the world?

How, specifically, will the Obama administration help the economy?

Will Obama, unlike Bill Clinton, follow through with his tax cut to the middle class?

Will Obama, Pelosi and Reid truly govern from the center?

George Miller, who heads the House committee that deals with 401(k)s, wants to eliminate this tax subsidy. He and others want to put this all under Social Security, and let the government take control of it. Will this be attractive to the Obama administration? (The mainstream media did not talk about this issue during the campaign.)

After the announcement that Obama had won the election, why were some of his supporters outside the White House carrying the Soviet flag?

Finally, during the last couple of years, Obama has been pouring honey in so many people’s ears. During his acceptance speech at Grant Park in Chicago, why did he begin to lower the expectations of his administration?

Obama - “The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even in one term.”

And this also from Obama’s Grant Park speech:

Obama - “There will be setbacks and false starts… We know the government can’t solve every problem… Above all, I will ask you to join in the work of remaking this nation.”

Obama campaigned on Hope and Change. Reality is now setting in.

Thank you in advance, for truthfully answering these questions.

Hi Amy,

This is a picture of oneness and serenity. I hope this same condition can exist for all the world through his efforts and the support of every human being. It's too much to wish for, but an ideal worth pursuing.

Thanks for the congratulatory message. :-) --Durano, done!

Mize, thank you for wishing the US well..all the way from Portugal...

imitationangel, yes, it certainly is a beautiful photo of Obama and his family!!!

Hey Cindy Gal...I remembered that I forgot Joseph Matthew's birthday, sometime this AM over coffee...will cal later...so, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mr. 4 year old!!!

Thank you Layne...it was, and is, still quite a moving experience. We saw photos from the UK and all over the world that were just as uplifting.

Paul, I feel for your disappointment, but, you have asked me questions that have no answers right now. Clearly we are seeing the outcome of this election thru much different eyes. I can only hope that that Obama and TIME will answer your many valid questions. I wish you and your family all the best as the country and the White House begin to make yet another transition.

Brad, first of all you are SO WELCOME, and so blessed to be receiving the portrait of your daughter from Kim...a priceless gift.

The ideal of oneness and serenity is certainly an ideal worth pursuing...we hope, we pray.
