With a background in Fine Arts, my eye is well trained to notice the smallest of details. Photography is a passion. With the advent of the digital age, I use that same trained eye through the monitor of my digital camera, from macro shots to sweeping landscapes while enjoying the full range of editing.

Beautiful photos Amy...I love how you did the first shot from underneath the flower...visually unique photo...I find I'm drawn to non traditional photos...the second one is wonderful as well...so much detail! Of course the colors are amazing...

My neighbor, Carol, across the street is a 'master'...she's taught me alot about gardening...you know me, 'water it and they will grow'...but, there are so many many layers to gardening...anywho, I was happy to get this shot from underneath...it will make a pretty card!!!...weekend was great, had some friends from college over for dinner...beach, lobster on the deck...hooo hummm..the lazy days of summer...have a wonderful week...:))))))
Whoooaaaa Jackie...I'll just bet the steriods have you awake...awwww, poor you...my Mom had that...so painful...so glad that you like the pics!!!! Orange, not my favorite color, and to get something just a little different w/ everybody posting their lilies was my personal challenge...the Zinnia, a wonderful gift!!...ummmm, picked for August for WHAT??? FEEL BETTER !!!!!
Heather, I could not resist that shot from underneath...it was speaking 'take me, take me'...lol...just glad that it came out so clear!!...I love the little detail of the OTHER flower in the pic, w/ all the little swirls...and like I said to Jackie...just to get something a little different w/ the Lily was my goal...I am pleased w/ the shot...the detail, nice and sharp..hope all is well up North...have a great week...:)))

Hi Mold Testing Caroll, Md...thank you!!! I am still battling 'blight' on my tomato leaves...a terrible mold/fungus...:(((
You are welcome, Rajesh!!
They certainly are pretty, Waterrose...it's a wonder...sorry they don't grow where you live...but, I'll bet you have some great flowers in your zone!!!
Thank you Meghann...:))
Orange flowers are a personal favorite of mine to photograph...such a lovely, saturated color...but I don't see a lot of them in our decidedly untropical weather here!
Jennie...I have been thinking about you and the Princess...today we are hot and humid...the 'dog days' of summer...no complaints...yes, you are decidedly in the untropical neck of the woods..if you will...I will be making cards out of the summer haul of photos and will post...love to the Princess, and all the critters...:)))
Beautiful photos! I'm such a sucker for shots of flowers. The shot from below is amazing, I can see why it was calling out to you.
Thank you Theresa...I'm such a sucker for all these flowers as well...it goes on and on and on...can't get enough...:)))
Gorgeous photos Amy! I have some of those orange Day Lilies in my garden too only this year they morphed into a more coral color. In fact I made a polymer clay color palette from those flowers. Very pretty!
Thank you Cindy...wow...how fun to make your own polymer clay palette from the colors of nature...EXCELLENT....my son made many many little Pokemon figures when he was a boy w/ the polymer clay...pretty amazing medium...:))))
Wow! These are gorgeous.
