I'm curious! What's the story?

Christina, these are the two American journalists who were being held in North Korea and sentenced to 12 years of hard labor for 'trespassing'. They're freedom was negotiated for all these months behind the scenes, and today, they came home! FREEDOM...it's for real...

ps. Christina, this, for me, has nothing to do w/ politics...it is the very moving reunion of 2 women w/ their families, caught up in an unbelievable situation...

Wonderful photos Amy...such a horrific story. The two women's lives and the lives of those close to them will be for ever changed!!!

I can't begin to imagine how they must have felt or what they would be feeling now...how they managed to cope while in prison...

Cheers

Jackie, I turned the TV on this AM, just as the plane was landing in Ca....I knew this had to be the post...what an amazing humanitarian effort on behalf of these 2 women...got to love a happy ending...

Oh Heather, you are so right..I pray that they receive all the help that they may need for however long they may need it...I think we'll be hearing plenty more over the next days and weeks...can you even imagine walking into a room in North Korea, thinking that your life was over and seeing Bill Clinton standing there...in that situation, I would have keeled completely over...I understand it was quite emotional..as you or I can only imagine...again, so happy for these two families...:))

oh these photos brought tears to my eyes Amy...
they certainly convey emotion that words cannot....
I feel so happy for these poor women...such courage!!!
I heard the story on the news...
good for Bill and Hillary too...
they're the sort of people you would want on your side...when the chips are down...

I hope your weekend is sunny ...and dry ;) ;)

Heart-wrenching.
Great post for WW.

Kim, I saw it live and was so touched, I came running upstairs to the computer, being totally impatient for the pics to appear, ANYWHERE on-line...finally (really it was no more than 1/2 an hour, but I wanted them posted IMMEDIATELY!!),the NY Times, posted these beautiful, moving shots...interestingly, things have been extra-ordinarily quiet around this story...and yes, I would want Bill and Hillary in my corner in such a world-wide sensitive situation...just had a great dinner on the deck w/ 2 college friends, beach tomorrow...my router up and died yesterday, but miracle of miracles, Verizon had a new one @ my front door in less than 24 hours!!!

Duni, heart wrenching is correct...I pray that their hears un-wrech w/ time...

Duni, that would be 'hearts'...:))
