Baby it's Cold Outside...

Really, it could be worse, much worse. For example, check out WillOaks Studio blog. However, the snow is blowing horizontally....small dog alert!!!!

Here is the forecast for Providence for today: Snow, mainly before 4pm. High near 23. Blustery, with a north wind between 16 and 21 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible. A chance of snow showers, mainly before midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 20. North wind between 11 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Now, this is not a blizzard, this is just pure cold air w/ some snow flakes being being blown around. I could bundle up and go for a walk, or, I could light a fire, curl up w/ the kitty's, my prisma colors and a sketch pad...hmmmmm....

Yeah, I live in CT, just north of Hartford...same thing here it's been snowing and windy all day, not much accumulation but driving was wicked.
Your grey cat looks exactly like my Taco!

Brrrr...you gotta believe it is cold outside...we've had cold winds and blowing snow...as you say not a storm just blowing and snowing enough to be very miserable...

I do think the cats have the right idea!
Cheers

Rebecca, I have noticed your Taco on your blog...they do look alike...mine is a 'she'...we call her Little Kitty, aka, Girl Whirl...you get the picture...yes, I opted out for door #2...put on the fire, made some soup and the day disappeared before I knew it...just closed the flue...STAY WARM!!

Heather the kittys are their own heating pads...I love it when Big Kitty curls up into my neck and stays there...things were very very quiet today...and you being so much further North..I can barely imagine...you too, STAY WARM!!!!!

It seems to be "winter" all over the country right now...and when thinking about what to do when the temp is zero and wind chill is below that? No brainer, I don't leave the house! I like the way you linked to my icicle display!! It seems my whole world is icy these days!

Ms. Muse, my sentiments exactly...'Spring where for art thou?'...my kitchen calendar for 2010 is 'Flora and Fauna'...keeping hope alive @ the promise of Spring...and the felines...well, it goes w/ out saying rally...I adore them..be careful out there Ms. Muse...and BTW, your word game was alot of fun...FB is a wonder for connecting people, blogs, etc...you're doing a great job...hugs, big hugs...:)))

Adorable shots of the kitties. I love the first one of the bare tree. It's so simple yet so beautiful.

Joanne, getting those two together is not easy, and then a good shot...for joy...you can see the white now on Big Kitty...he just tuned 12 over the Summer...he's the best man cat..and the tree, our Dowgwood, which we planted around Earth day a couple of years ago...still small, but doubled in size from original planting...

I have been following your postings about the sea lions...saw the story on the world news...yes, very upsetting and suspicious indeed...

Your kitties are so adorable.
It's pretty cold here at the moment too (which is unusual for this area).

Oh, thank you Duni...I think so too...just love them...it seems to be cold all over the world...especially for those who are in their early Winter months...I'm nuzzling in today and working @ home...:))
