Yet another very cold weekend. My son is now back in Boston, snug as a bug, after Winter break...whew. Bless his heart, he kept his whirlwind contained to his room. However, I did spend quite a bit of time 'in there' to clean up, change the sheets, and enjoy the sound of the quiet. After a couple of hours I decided to pull out our new Conair aqua foot massager.
Aqua-jet foot massage has a relaxing effect on tired and cold feet. In this technique, two hydro-jets are used for massaging the foot. The feet are immersed in a pedicure bath filled with water. The water is released by the hydro jets at controlled speeds, which stimulates the circulation of blood. This stimulates the feet reflexes, thereby giving making your feet relaxed. The temperature of water in the equipment is maintained at a certain level....warm, wonderfully, warm!
I also made an avocado/honey facial masque, which I warmed up in the microwave. So, there I sat for 15 minutes, green faced (yes, good enough to eat!), enjoying the gentle aqua-jet massage. You can really feel a lingering 'tingling' from the hydro bubbles, and a certain satisfaction, knowing that you have done something truly kind for yourself. I left the avocado facial on for about 30 minutes and now, I am only sorry that I didn't think to take a picture of the mixture....next time!!

Now THAT is inspired and inspiring! I don't have a bathtub (only a shower) so to soak my feet like that could only be heaven! And I like to eat avocados too much to smear them on my face...but maybe if I bought 2 at the same time? You are a good teacher for self-care today, Amy!
Pamper those puppies...
Toast those tootsies!
What a lucky and smart gal you are!
I want one SO BAD!
Oh Karen, you should treat yourself and buy one...w/ all the sales everywhere, you can find them at very good prices!...the avocado, can you believe, @ Whole Foods, I bought 5 for $5...so, this was the softest of the group...Jimmy actually put some on crackers because it was truly good enough to eat...hate to waste food!!!
Yes Ms. Muse...the pampering goes a long way around here...I will be using our aqua foot massager alot as the winter progresses...and maybe come up w/ some new facial mixtures as well...'au natural'...:)))
Contrariwise...look around...like I said to Karen, w/ sales still going on, I'll bet you can find one @ a reasonable price!!!

Awwwwwwwwwww that looks so nice! I may have to run out & get one of those. I'm with WillOaks, I'd have the avocado eaten before I could put it on my face!
Looks and sounds fabulous Amy...I contemplated buy one for myself, but haven't yet!
I have a spa pedicure monthly as I have psoriasis on the soles of my feet and the home spa would be a great help!!!
Cheers
Campbell Jane, it is very nice to have..anytime I choose...ahhh, the avocado was a great nourishment for my face, and the Hubs did dig in...a good 1/2 hour all in all!!!
Heather, having a spa pedicure once a month is great, and so healing for you...it is very nice to know that it's tucked away, ready for use anytime...it sounds like it would be such a benefit for you to have one handy...I'll bet that you can find one at @ really good price as well...:))))
I have one of these! I use it every evening before bedtime :)
Duni, I have to think about that..ie, the 'sound factor'...I usually go to bed after my hubby...could use the downstairs bathroom...hmmmm...it's a very good idea...:))
