A Winters' Thought...Hope for Spring

We are all feeling the 'winter weary thing' setting in. It's only the middle of February, and we have a way to go. Yes, the days are markedly longer, the most hopeful sign that Spring will certainly make a most welcomed appearance...at some point. In the meantime, I've reacquainted myself with my beloved prismacolor pencils. This drawing, a moment in time, a cold, very windy afternoon at the drawing board.

there are times when we do not copy in art....but purely feel...to let our heart...our mind...meld into a zone that is pure emotion.

here i feel that...in every twirl...in every swirl.

i feel.

gorgeous fun!

Thank you Ms. Muse...always, the tricky part is remaining free on the paper and letting the emotion flow...I am so glad that you 'feel' in every twirl, in every swirl...I dance...:))

Your drawings capture the spirit of a bitterly cold winter wind beautifully. Too bad that here in the Pacific Northwest, winter seems to have forgotten us. You wouldn't think that that would be a problem, but it has it's consequences. The flora and fauna are very confused by our unseasonably mild weather.

I'll take four well defined seasons please!

Jennie!!!..thank you...it is somewhat of a 'less complicated' drawing than I usually throw down...and I love that..I'm working on another, but I put it down because I felt I was thinking too much rather than just 'feeling it'...will return to the table today...I remember last year, you were literally snowed in for a couple of weeks...things have certainly shifted this year...yes, the flora and fauna do become confused, I totally agree...and the 4 seasons are a must as well...hopefully you will see some snow and cold before all is said and done...:))

Thank you Beadwright for the encouragement!!!
