Columbine Angel

Columbine is the state flower of Colorado. It is a beautiful, delicate, complicated flower. It looks like the most heavenly of angels with is wings spread. I have a Columbine perennial in my front yard, where this photo was taken with light from the late afternoon sun. The beauty of the Columbine flower has helped to heal some of my personal memories of the tragedy at Columbine High School in Colorado, which we will acknowledge on April 20th, 11 years later.

Thank you Heather...an 'ah ha' moment w/ the camera, the flower, the light...I love the piece of the spiders web which the light captured...have a great week up there on the lake...:)))

Marge, the Columbine flower blooms in many different varieties...yes, many people just associate it with the terrible tragedy @ the high school...when really, they named the school after their gorgeous state flower!!!
