Tata...I pruned a bunch of the basil today and I'm on my 3rd round of stringing the tomato vines to the bamboo...thrilled!!!

Kathy, I've never seen leaves so big...but those pesky beetles are still having way too much fun...I'm putting down eggshells, coffee grounds, have tried garlic...but, they're stubborn...arrgghh!!

Like w/ children, water them, give them sunshine and some food and lo and behold, they'll grow!!!

BUBBLES...there's a thought Ms. Muse...:)))

Amy- I have the beetles too, but in my flower beds. My mother told me about some stuff called "Neem" today- which she bought at Agway but said she believes she saw it at Walmart as well. It's an organic pesticide. She's been gardening for my entire life and she's currently got 18 tomato plants that are over 2 feet high that she grew from seed, so I am going to guess she knows how to kill those nasty things. LOL! Anyway, I'm going to get some, let me know if you try it and how it works for you! :)

Secondary Roads...nobody is more surprised than me...I've already tied the tomato vines w/ hemp string at 3 different levels they've been growing so fast...and the basil HAS to be pruned and eaten...the Greek oregano is also about to get a trim...this is GREAT!!!!

Totally jealous. I'm not sure anyone in the Pacific Northwest has a garden looking that good yet, or will at all this summer!

awwww Jennie...it's been good so far for everyone here in the Northeast...early tho...everything is popping early...so, we'll see how far into late summer/early fall this will go...my tomatoes are starting to 'bloom'...right now, they look like little green olives...will post some pics...love to the Princess..:)))))
