We Will Never Forget...

Now that the World Trade Memorial is open and beautifully thought out, w/ every consideration, every detail painstakingly added to the depth of the unspeakable horror of that day, on that spot, the blue lights were a most touching, heavenly reminder of the Towers which are no more. I do not know if they will be lit tonight, but in my mind, there they are. So, here they are.
The Tribute in Light, Sept. 10, 2013...wow what a pic!!!

UPDATE: The above pic was on the NBC News web site...so powerful!!

Columbine Angel

Columbine is the state flower of Colorado. It is a beautiful, delicate, complicated flower. It looks like the most heavenly of angels with is wings spread. I have a Columbine perennial in my front yard, where this photo was taken with light from the late afternoon sun. The beauty of the Columbine flower has helped to heal some of my personal memories of the tragedy at Columbine High School in Colorado, which we will acknowledge on April 20th, 11 years later.
