Beach Week

We are on vacation this week and we are sticking close to home to enjoy the beauty of our favorite beach here in Rhode Island. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the beach, so this is close to heaven for us. We both need a well deserved break from all the action. This is a fabulous walking beach. If you walk the entire beach back and forth, or however you do it, it's a healthy 3 mile walk. And we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to walk. The picture of the elderly couple is so touching to me. It speaks volumes about them, the placement of his cane, the way they were together. They spent the afternoon watching their grandchildren having the time of their lives. My husband and I will be them one day, because we will never stop going to the beach, even if we have to be wheeled there! The other photos are my husband relaxing (I could have gotten him sleeping, mouth open, but, I opted out...this was nice), and our 'stuff'....we're headed back tomorrow, Wednesday, Thursday.....we should be well vacationed by the end of this coming weekend!!!

Vacation is wonderful and if it is during weekdays it is double enjoyments. Less crowd and more peace for us to really enjoy our vacation. Hope you have a great time there and return back to work with full spirit.

Love the motorized wheel chair on the beach...kind of like an ATV for the disabled set, eh? ;)

Hope you're having a good time, but I prefer vacations more active than lying on a pile or eroded rocks and soaking up the skin cancer. What else are you doing?

gosh Matt..did I mention playing in the ocean w/ childlike abandon and the thrill of catching a good wave...and sometimes, the best part of the day is coming home, still feeling the warmth of the sun and having a late dinner....
