Beach Week, (cont'd)...

Our time at the beach is winding down...as have we! It is so relaxing being at the shore as your body seems to take on the natural rhythm of the the waves, the rising and falling of the tide, the loveliness of being there at dusk. I have taken some very long walks with my husband toward Point Judith, where the Block Island Ferry makes her entrance and exit for the 50 minute ride. We love to wave to the people on the boat as we critique all the other boats (lobster boats, sail boats, and boats of many sizes and shapes...we compare them to cars), coming and going. I have also had a couple of really good hauls of new rocks and I'll need to purchase a new glass vase to house them. Tonight we will treat our selves to dinner by the ocean at Point Judith and with great gratitude in our hearts, we cheer the end of a FABULOUS week, and the start of something new!

I just love the picture of the bowl of rocks. You would go crazy on my beach! I wish I knew more about what I was looking at though, I just pick up what I like.

Ah I feel as if the rocks are just the paints my friend....the colors of the earth! Glorious they are indeed...
Stay safe and have fun!

Hi Kim!!!...we've had the best week...soooo needed...dinner last night was perfect, a wonderful breeze, great seafood, excellent company...yes, I'm sure the roar of the ocean has the same sound down under...I trust that you gals all enjoyed the play! Have a wonderful weekend...

I am the same way Jennifer...I just pick up what I like w/ the rocks...Matt Urban asked me if I knew about the geology of the rocks...a good question, one which I have not yet answered...lol

Thank you Miss Muse...when the rocks are wet, the colors really shine forth...sometimes, I'll put a coat of clear nail polish on them, if I'm giving one as a gift...it brings all the depth and color right back to it's full life!!

Beautiful pics! If I couldn't go get my toes in the sand once a year, I think I'd go crazy :)

RAGTREE!!!...I love your blog!!!...good to hear from you..we are beach babies around here and have a strong need to be near the water altogether...but, to live in RI and have easy access to such beauty...what can I say...I would be a very unhappy camper if I couldn't get my toes in the sand as well!!!

It looks/sounds as though you had a wonderful time...nothing like a beach side getaway!!! Good for you!!!

I've lived on a beautiful lake for most of my adult life but the ocean is still my favorite body of water, just something about it!!!

Cheers
