Thank you to Kim, from Laketrees, for suggesting that I photograph the swirly weeds in black and white! WOW...this is abstract nature at it's finest. This is child-like abandon that can only be inspired by the real deal. Be free children, draw outside the lines, express yourselves! These weeds surround a Lilac bush that we planted earlier in the Spring, and when they came up instead of fragrant Lilacs, I was not especially disappointed, because of how complex they are. I have never seen anything like them! So, maybe, next year, I'll be taking photographs of Lilac buds, but, hey, swirly weeds, not so shabby!

If you translated these into vector graphics, they'd be amazing art deco decorations or a basis for a great grunge look.

Hey Heather...I agree, these would translate very well into prints...I will add a couple of them to my Etsy shop, however, as photos...8x10, would read well...yes?
Can't wait to see the lilac bushes!
I use to live in Maine and had two huge bushes next to the porch. I really miss them.
Moved back to Texas and the closest to a lilac is the crepe myrtle and the Texas sage reminds me a little of them.

Kim's knack for seeing these things on weeds may have been triggered by reading my posts on cannabis. LOL! (just kidding)

Hey Grandma Betty...I can't wait to see the Lilacs as well...maybe next Spring they will decide to bloom for me! Maine is a far cry from Texas...and certainly much, much different foliage...glad that you have some reminders of the Lilac in the myrtle and the sage!

Hey Health Nut...it does look like art...the weeds are so delicate and the macro just gave them that free flowing feel...they should look good re-produced in say, 8x10...they would hold up!
