Hey Christy Gal...these prints are from one of my choice calendars from this year (Carl Larsson and Vermeer for the other 2),..this is a gorgeous calendar of vintage Japanese woodblocks from Kawasi Hasui. They would be stunning in frames...agreed...I have 10 more!!

Kathy, as I mentioned to Christy...I'm a serious calendar shopper at the end of each year, and I have found this series of vintage Japanese woodbocks. It hangs in my kitchen, where the colors add greatly to the ambiance!!

And Henson, aren't you the lucky guy to have seen the real Mt. Fuji...wow...that's amazing...a blog post perhaps...this artist was so gifted, and these prints, I agree, absolutely beautiful!
Although we have certainly had a fair bit of snow - enough to last us for another twenty years - at least in this proporion, it is still wonderful to see how beautifully nature manages to show us what a magnificent artist she really is. This is certainly the right picture for the best time of the year ... but may I just say brrr!!

I can see mount fuji from my terrace at the moment. Not exactly like these ukiyoe but still a wonderful view. It's fully covered in snow at the moment.
I am going to post some photos of Fuji later on today. If you have time, check it out!

Hiya Kim...oh these would be gorgeous framed, and like I said to Christy, I have 10 more!!! We saw footage of the wildfires in Australia on the 11 PM news last night...always heartbreaking...hope they have been able to contain them...it has been a harsh Winter Kim, there's no question, but people in other parts of the US have had it much worse than New England...today, we see some melting of the snow, and even a little bit of grass...hope that you are getting some relief by living so close to the shoreline...:))))

A great influence on me as well(so much so that I ended up with a Japanese wife, but that's a long story)... An artist working in any medium can learn a lot from the level of craftsmanship and the perfect composition of these prints. We have several around the house and I never get tired of them.
Mark, it is nice to meet you...I took a look/see @ your blog...very, very beautiful work...will visit often..the artistry and craftsmanship of these prints is stunning...I am going to have some of the others (from the calendar) framed and I am quite certain, like you, that I will never tire of them...:)
