Hot Cat in the City

It's been hot...can't really complain, won't change anything. I am blessed to be able to jump into my neighbor's pool and stay as long as I want. It's the local watering hole, so you never know who is going to show up, and it's been alot of fun. But, the cats are hot, and Big Kitty needs to be brushed everyday as he is shedding an immense amount of fur on a daily basis. Little Kitty, not so much. BK loves to be groomed. Girl Whirl (aka, Little Kitty), again, not so much. This photo is from the archives. Girl Whirl sits under the shadows of the aloe plants to cool off. I think her face says it all....

Beautiful cat. It's super hot here as well but I'll take the heat over the cold any day.

She's very pretty Amy!! We are entering our odd time with the weather.

We were in the upper 60's last night and in the 90's today.

In a couple of more weeks it will be ac in the afternoon and heat early morning.

When in Maine Tammy and Steve's has was the neighborhood watering hole. But they sold that house and haven't put a pool in where they are now.

I hope you have a great weekend!

Awww...big kitty is beautiful.
My cat Sammy sheds a lot of fur now too. I could make a sweater from all his fur!

I agree Bella...I'll take the Summer over Winter anytime...the camera just LOVES my Girl Whirl...very pretty indeed!!!

Hiya Jackie...she's my Girl...much different personality than BK..she's a girl after all...wow, your weather is certainly entering an odd time...this New England summer has been anything but normal...after such a long winter, a very rainy spring into summer and now, the dog days are upon us...we're headed to the beach later to see the large waves coming from hurricane Bill..might get some good pics!!...hugs..:))

hello my Triz...awwww, poor puppies..I know that Israel heat is not playing...flat out, sounds good to me...:))))

Thank you Duni...she's a beauty!!!

Smart cat Girl Whirl is...she wants to look outside and has found the right amount of shade to be comfy!!! :0)))

Everyone is having unusual weather...ours certainly has been this whole year...I've gotten to the point that as long as it isn't gale force winds I'm OK with it!

It is nice isn't it to have a pool handy...cools you off while you socialize a little..a pleasant way to spend some time!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend...
Cheers
PS...I agree...I'll take the heat over the cold any day!

My husband might disagreed w/ you about Little Kitty's intelligence, Heather, but I think she's quite a smart cookie!!!...isn't it somthing about the weather this summer for everyone, from the Pacific Northwest, to you up in Canada, and New England w/ all the rain...it must give us pause..

The pool has been even better when I have had it ALL TO MYSELF and can swim laps to my hearts delight...the kids will be back in school soon enough, so, I still have time to get some good swimming in!! Hope that you had a quiet, gale force wind-free weekend...:))))

Kim Kim Kim...you've been working so hard the past couple of months, I'm not surprised that you got sick. If I lived in your hemisphere, I would have made you some chicken soup...I make a MEAN pot of chicken soup...I do hope that you are taking your recovery slowly...a week in bed is a week in bed after all...glad that your weather is cooperating...hopefully, you've been able to get some fresh air on the terrace...seriously, do take it easy...

The basil is plentiful, and I'm just getting started...makes me nuts to pay $2.49 for a leaf of basil in the dead of winter!!! The oregano dries beautifully, little flowers and all...wonderful in sauces..I freeze the basil..I have about 8 bags so far...have even taken to freezing the tomatoes for the cold months as well...it will be here before we know it and you will be enjoying your Summer...

I hope that Charlie's fancy dress party was a smash...would love to see some pics...hugs, very big hugs to you...:)))
