It is very sad news...a man who grew into his own legacy before our eyes...a big loss...I edited this photo down...I think it speaks volumes...

Jennifer, I live in RI...literally just met Patrick a couple of weeks ago @ a meeting for Juvenile Diabetes...it was a small group, so there was some personal time for my husband and myself to speak w/ the Congressman...we hold the family close in our prayers tonight...yes, a great loss for the state of Ma. indeed...

It's a great loss for our entire country! It's very hard for me to imagine the Senate without him.

I knew he was very ill. Yet he is the last of three. Camelot truly is no more!!

Great tribute Amy!! I am moved to tears!!

He was a wonderful man. When I saw him on TV earlier this year I knew he would not have long. But he has lived a wonderful life, lived to see an African American man become president of the USA. He will be missed.

Hiya Z...and he was invaluable to making that happen...an African American man becoming president...he grew into his legacy before our very eyes...!!

It won't be the same without him.
Such a nice simple wordless tribute, Amy.
