Wordless Wednesday




Our VERY FIRST lilac buds from a bush we planted 2 summers ago!!!
Thrilled!!!!

That is so exciting Amy...be sure to post photos once they are completely open!!! I absolutely love lilacs...the mauve/pink colors & the fragrance is so soothing to me!

Heather, I was so happy to see them yesterday!!! I love lilacs as well...I think my neighbors from down the street 'willed' their pollen down to our house...I'll be keeping a close watch...yes, the colors and aroma are unmatched!!!!

Karen, from what I've been told, our lilacs are early...so we may not really be ahead of you...yours may be on time...:)))))...still thrilled!!

Ahhh.......LOVE the Lilac buds!! When I as young, we had tons of Lilac bushes everywhere in our neighborhood ~ the fragrance was incredible!!

Ollie McKay, how lucky you are to have such a delicious memory...I remember a lilac tree in the front of my son's elementary school...it was amazing...I can't wait to see what these little buds turn into!!!

Lilacs are my absolute favorite.. and everyone around this peninsula seems to be able to grow them but me :(

I'll just have to enjoy them vicariously through your pictures!

Jennie, honestly, it was such a delightful, hopeful surprise when I saw these buds the other morning...I wish we had aromas (lovely of course) on the blogs...they're still pretty small, but, it's a start...I'll keep shooting pics...:)))
