With a background in Fine Arts, my eye is well trained to notice the smallest of details. Photography is a passion. With the advent of the digital age, I use that same trained eye through the monitor of my digital camera, from macro shots to sweeping landscapes while enjoying the full range of editing.

That is so exciting Amy...be sure to post photos once they are completely open!!! I absolutely love lilacs...the mauve/pink colors & the fragrance is so soothing to me!
Enjoy your lilac bush...
Cheers
Heather, I was so happy to see them yesterday!!! I love lilacs as well...I think my neighbors from down the street 'willed' their pollen down to our house...I'll be keeping a close watch...yes, the colors and aroma are unmatched!!!!
Oh wonderful...you are so far ahead of us...but soon we'll have some too, I hope. My favorite fragrance for sure!!
Karen, from what I've been told, our lilacs are early...so we may not really be ahead of you...yours may be on time...:)))))...still thrilled!!
Is that a lilac bush? I love them and soooo miss that scent!
Ahhh.......LOVE the Lilac buds!! When I as young, we had tons of Lilac bushes everywhere in our neighborhood ~ the fragrance was incredible!!
You really have a lot of buds - the flowers are going to be beautiful!
Yes, Waterrose...a beautiful, blooming lilac bush!!!!
Ollie McKay, how lucky you are to have such a delicious memory...I remember a lilac tree in the front of my son's elementary school...it was amazing...I can't wait to see what these little buds turn into!!!
Brenda, I will certainly keep you posted...I PRAY that you are right!!!!!
Lilacs are my absolute favorite.. and everyone around this peninsula seems to be able to grow them but me :(
I'll just have to enjoy them vicariously through your pictures!
Jennie, honestly, it was such a delightful, hopeful surprise when I saw these buds the other morning...I wish we had aromas (lovely of course) on the blogs...they're still pretty small, but, it's a start...I'll keep shooting pics...:)))
