Arch way @ Woodland Park...amazing sculpture!! |
Yesterday Atlas Van Lines delivered my portion of Mom's furniture,
pictures, lamps and treasures from her apartment in New Jersey....or
really from her life in New York (as she only lived in NJ for the past
year). What a difference a month makes. From life to death, from West to
East and back again a couple of times, from Summer to Autumn, all very
significant and mark-ed changes. Thankfully, the movers were very nice
guys, they came early enough where we still had the whole day. We have
decided to visit the higher elevations, now that I have acclimated, and
w/ the Fall foliage quickly making her appearance, we went to
the city of Woodland Park, which is at 8000 feet in elevation. We drove
through Garden of the Gods Park, and as I was snapping away, I looked up
and there it was, a cloud formation in the shape of a heart! Well,
glory be, how perfect, as was the rest of the day. Although I did get a
bit light headed, I was closer to Pikes Peak than ever before. The
pictures tell the story as our adventures in Colorado continue...

Gorgeous photos Amy...Colorado is stunningly beautiful. I like to watch the skies, they show some amazing visions and the heart is such the perfect symbol for you!
Time stops for no one...even during our pain and sorrow...what a great way to end the day, a trip to a beautiful place.
I enjoyed your adventure Amy, thank you for sharing...
Cheers
Colorado seems to be the gift which keeps on giving...even tho we are in for a 30 degree drop in temps by the end of the week...these skies literally take my breath away...and seeing that cloud in the shape of a BIG HEART after getting Mom's furniture, etc., was a clear wink from the heavens...ah ha, Heather, glad you had a good time too...much loveXXXXXXX
dearest amy, oh i have no doubt from whence that heart came....no doubt that the veil of heaven was parted, but for a moment, and your mom kissed you. i can imagine the warmth of soul and "heart" that surrounded you at that very special instant. i am so happy, my kind friend, that you captured it and shared...but even if we were to never see it, i am glad YOU did :) xo
Yes, yes, yes....it most definitely was a kiss from Mom...a moment which I am so grateful to have captured on my trustee little camera...it's good to share hearts...love you Ms. P.
