Fare Thee Well...I Hope!

It is March. I am so glad it is March. Tonight we turn the clocks ahead 1 hour, giving us that glorious extra measure of light at the end of the day, which continues to increase by minutes upon minutes as the sun becomes higher in our soon to be, Spring sky. There is so much hope attached to this upcoming season of Spring, especially this year. It has been a tough Winter for our country. Just that very hope of Spring and ALL it has to offer, makes my heart sing, as I am already making plans for my garden, thankful that last years haul is still blessing our table! On that note, I took these photos this past Thursday, down at the Stillhouse Cove, of the mounds of snow, which have since seen some serious melting. I know, it IS possible that's it is not quite over yet, but, hope, hope, hope, Springs eternal!

Amy I am so glad you guys are seeing the signs of hope.

of course for us down here it has already been showing signs for quite a while.

My Bradford pear has gone by already with blooming and I think my peach tree will open completely with this afternoon's sunshine.

Two days of heavy rain in west Michigan has removed the last vestiges of snow from this neighborhood. Despite the mud, (I live on a dirt road), I'm ready for spring.

Hi Kathy...oh, I laid out on my deck today and felt the warmth of the sun...it might be gone tomorrow, but it sure felt good today!!

Hiya Jackie....there are the tiniest specs of green popping up from the earth, my Japanese Iris and Hostas...we planted a pear tree and a dogwood last year, so they're still saplings, but they made it thru a tough Winter...can't wait to see what they do as Spring/Summer roll on in. Looking forward to seeing your new pics!!!

Thank you MyJoyz...I looked @ your blog and you are being very consistent...that's a good thing, so keep up the good work!!

Hey Chuck, we're getting your rain tonight and tomorrow, maybe a little snow...but, we're on the same page...SPRING, SPRING, SPRING!!!

Hey Kim...the snow is ALL GONE...I've been nursing a migraine for the past 36 hours...my Mom said she heard something on the news in NYC, 2 times, 2 different stations about women having migraines w/ the time change...and, it was news to me...I'll be more prepared when we turn the clocks again come November!!!

I just love that Girl Whirl...she nuzzles under the covers w/ me @ night...I know that you're not a great cat lover, but, it is really very sweet!!

It will be so nice to see the Spring again. BTW didn't realize you guys in the States did the 'putting clocks backwards and forwards' routine - just thought it was us crazy Brits!!

Hi John...I think the whole time change was from WWII...I'm going to Google it...it's nice tho, having the daylight longer and now, that minute more every day has made a real dent w/ the 'Spring forward' in our clocks...:))...

Well, looks like most of us feel the same way...soon...we'll get there Liz!!!
