With a background in Fine Arts, my eye is well trained to notice the smallest of details. Photography is a passion. With the advent of the digital age, I use that same trained eye through the monitor of my digital camera, from macro shots to sweeping landscapes while enjoying the full range of editing.

beautiful Amy...
the lighting is perfect and such a wonderful contrast between the white of the swan and the blue of the water...
looks like gorgeous weather over your way ;) ;)
have a wonderful day Amy :))
ps I clicked on the link under the photo (at Etsy) and this error message came up
Uh oh!
Sorry, the item you are looking for does not exist
Thank you dear Kim...I'm hooked on taking these swans...sometime in late August, early September, they gather, hundreds of them @ the Cove...it's like a 'swan convention'..you just have to catch them...now THAT would really be something...I took this one last year, around the same time as the one that you have...the error message came up because I changed the name of the photo and did not finish the process totally in my Etsy shop...thank you for pointing that out...all fixed now!!!...busy today, cleaning cleaning cleaning...having some friends visit from NYC over the weekend...than Edward comes home from Boston on Monday...better stock up...:)))))
Well it might be a swan but it looks like one of my geese...give it back!!...LOL...just teasing you!!
It's beautiful Amy. i love water fowl and I also love reflection shots. This one is perfect!!
Walter is here and after I pop over to Kim's we are going to be extremely lazy and watch a movie!!
Big hugs,

What a beautiful photo Amy...I can almost hear the water rippling...the colors are amazing and the reflection is perfect!!!
Cheers
Yes, Jackie, I love the water fowl as well...the water was real still and the reflection just worked...you and Walter go ahead and be 2 lazy bones...you deserve it!!!...have a great weekend...:))
Heather, I mentioned to Kim, that sometime in late Aug., or early September the swans gather @ the Cove for a convention...they make so much noise, swimming alone, the sound is FABULOUS...all that paddling at once...I hope,I pray, that I catch them this year!!! This shot of the swan was a good day...have a wonderful Farmer's Market tomorrow...:)))
Hi Amy,
I finally made it over. thanks for stopping in and seeing my new make over.
I have to agree with you. I think it is the best my blog has ever looked. LJ did a terrific job.
Now I am praying that I can get all of my visits returned today as one satellite is down until the 25th.
Walter has house and yard all neat and clean, he is grilling out tonight, we have another dvd to watch together, he just went to get me a hamburger, I was craving one, and tomorrow he is taking me for a drive.
I am so so spoiled. We have the day reserved to drive around and hopefully get some shots in. I haven't been able to any photo shoot days in since my back flared up.
I hope you have a great weekend too!!
Hugs,
Jackie:-)

Just looking through your blog and noticed that I also have a swan on one of my latest posts. I wonder how many swans are on blogs this week. Yours is a much better photo.
